Support for children from Kenya, city Mtwapa: Tyron, Munga, Mody, Judis and Brighton
Name: Tyron Yaa
Year of birth: 2012, 7 years
Social situation:
Tyron lives in the same village as Judis and Mody. Basically, they are distant relatives. The way of life as well as degree of poverty is the same. Tyron has no siblings and attends the first year of primary school. He is a cheerful and spontaneous boy who is interested in everything around him.
April 2018
Tyron, like all children, received food aid: 20 kg of durable foods (rice, beans, corn flour, wheat flour and sugar). In addition, he received vitamins and toiletries (soap, toothbrush and paste and washing powder). There is a new school uniform being sewn for him.
Munga attends the 1st year of primary school
The African children like to go to school very much, but unfortunately their home conditions for studying are limited: they have no light or table and, moreover, parents cannot help them with their homeworks. Consequently, the results are often not exactly what the child’s real capacity is. Let us not forget, however, that the aim of the program is to ensure that children in need would receive basic education and would not be illiterate as their parents.
We motivate children to study and parents to make sure that their children are at school. The condition of the child’s incorporation into the program is a school attendance. In this way, we managed to get and keep at school hundreds of children whose uneducated parents did not see education as a priority. The success is that the child sits at the school desk and that is what we succeed in cooperation with you.
